Medical Ministry Teams:     
St. Gabriel’s Catholic Church, Myers Park United Methodist Church,
Providence United Methodist Church and Covenant Presbyterian Church

Scope of Practice is focused in three main areas:

1. Basic Care and Nurse Clinic:
General care clinics are held weekly on Wednesday afternoon and Thursday
evenings. An additional general clinic is held on the third Tuesday of every
month.   These clinics are staffed by volunteers providers and support staff
and patients are seen fro a variety of primary care needs. Nurse clinic is held
on Wednesday mornings for Blood Pressure checks and other nursing
following up.

2. Diabetes Clinic:
Diabetic patients are seen through Endocrinology Clinics held every Tuesday
morning and one Thursday night a month. Patients participating in the diabetic
care management program are seen by a Physician and scheduled for
educational and nutrition classes. Patients are given a Glucometer and
diabetic strips with the goal to enable patients to develop self-manage skills.

3.Women’s Clinic:
Women’s clinics are held monthly. Volunteer Gynecologist provide our patients
with a routine pap smear and address basic women’s issues. Through Susan
G. Komen Funds our patients can receive their yearly mammography.
